How to Wear a Selendang

A selendang is the finishing note of an outfit — the piece that carries the light. The trick is weight: a beaded chiffon falls differently from a plain charmeuse, and where it falls decides how it drapes.

For everyday, loop once and let the beaded edge fall long on one side. For majlis, pin higher at the shoulder so the embroidery reads across the chest. Keep the fabric the hero — one selendang, one intention.
